Khans- Mesquite Flat Dunes, south of Beatty Junction, Death Valley, CA Scorpion Caves - Daylight Pass Rd, in mountains, Death Valley, CA Shady Sands/NCR - Mesquite Flat Dunes, north of Stovepipe Wells, Death Valley, CA Vaults are blue dots (kinda hard to see, unfortunately) and settlements are red dots. This post will be a little long, sorry if the images are large. I also included locations mentioned in New Vegas, and a little 3/4ths of the NV map. Whitney irl, according the the survival guide. It bothered me that Fallout 1 and 2 had different locations for Mariposa, V13 and Shady Sands, so I found definitive locations for them based on the lore provided, and found a way to make both map's fit them within their borders. I'm posting after deciding to on a recent thread here. That's why I want what FO2 had, maps that could be scanned into the pipboy to find locations.Hey all, a while back I made a map of New California in Fallout 1 and 2 because I wanted to find real locations for every place in the games and the routes between them. Having satelite signals like gps I hope is never apart of fallout. Other people could have added data but for them to have been to every loaction and inside every building is hard to believe. Are map should be blank or every rudimentary till we get that data.

I agree we can get data from terminals but there should be a computer option to download that data. How can it know there is a tunnel there or a shack door there? If it was full of pre-war date then use the pre-war maps but after a nuclear war things change. Just use your imagination a bit because "magically knowing" is really the argument of someone not using their imagination. Since we don't know how a pip boy works theres no evidence to say it dosn't already know the layout of an area from other data taken from a previous user, downloaded from every single terminal you ever use, scanned from local terminals, recieved info from antenna or satelite signals or simply that your character puts the data in manual as you move about.
